AHOF‘s agency, F&F Entertainment, has addressed a recent global fan vote that suggested the group could participate in a drama OST, explaining that the project was never discussed or approved by the company.
The statement came after fans raised questions about AHOF ranking No. 1 in a poll to select an artist for the KBS2 drama “Love on the Menu” OST.
On August 6, F&F Entertainment released an official statement regarding the votes held on the Rematch and JK FANDOM platforms. According to AllKPop, the agency thanked fans for their support but explained that artist activities must go through proper discussions before being confirmed.
“An artist’s singing activities, casting opportunities, and participation in specific projects are matters that must be reviewed comprehensively based on the artist’s schedule, condition, and direction of activities, followed by prior discussion and confirmation with the agency,” F&F Entertainment stated.
The agency also clarified that no official talks had taken place regarding the OST project. F&F Entertainment said, “We have not received any proposals or held any discussions regarding the OST in question.”
According to the company, OST participation involves several important steps, including discussions about the song, lyrics, production schedule, and contract details. The agency explained that even if a fan vote is created with an artist’s participation in mind, approval from the company must happen before candidates are selected or announced.
AHOF Won Fan Vote
F&F Entertainment emphasized that fan-organized events or votes cannot confirm an artist’s appearance without official agreement.
The agency stated that if a vote or event is held based on the assumption of AHOF’s participation without prior consultation, the group will not be able to join the project regardless of the final result. The company also made it clear that the announcement was not meant to criticize fans’ support efforts. Instead, it was shared to prevent confusion about activities that have not been officially confirmed.
“This is not intended to restrict or criticize fans’ voluntary support activities. It is simply a notice to prevent further confusion regarding artist activities that have not been officially confirmed in advance,” the agency explained, ChosunBiz reported.
Previously, a global fan vote was organized to choose the singer for the “Love on the Menu” OST, and AHOF received the top ranking in the poll. However, the result did not represent an official confirmation of the group’s participation.
