During the August 7 broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show, regular guest Jeon Min Ki joined the “Search N Chart” segment for a discussion covering entertainment news and trending topics.
During the show, a listener jokingly sent in a message comparing the two hosts, writing, “Park Myung Soo is the budget version of Lee Seung Chul, while Jeon Min Ki is the budget version of Bae Yong Joon.”
Laughing at the comparison, Park Myung Soo replied, “I’m not completely thrilled about that, but I consider Lee Seung Chul to be my role model, so I’ll take it.” He then asked Jeon Min Ki whether he had any personal connection with Bae Yong Joon, to which Jeon replied that they had never met.

Park Myung Soo went on to mention that he had recently seen photos of Bae Yong Joon, referring to images that surfaced after the actor traveled to Singapore in June with his wife, actress Park Soo Jin, alongside actors Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon and their children. The photos, published by local media, showed Bae Yong Joon at the airport with his long gray hair tied back.
Recalling the images, Park Myung Soo said, “I recently saw photos of Bae Yong Joon. His hair has turned gray, but his face looks exactly the same. He still looks incredibly handsome.”
He then turned to Jeon Min Ki and added that he really does resemble the actor. Jeon admitted that he still occasionally hears comparisons to Bae Yong Joon and said the resemblance had actually benefited him when he was younger.

“I still hear it from time to time,” Jeon said. “Thanks to Bae Yong Joon, I enjoyed quite a few perks when I was younger.” He added with a laugh, “People told me I looked like him even in high school, and I definitely benefited from that.”
The conversation later shifted to internet slang and current trends. Jeon introduced the newly popular expression “Young-kkk,” a playful term describing someone who stays youthful and keeps up with the latest trends, saying Park Myung Soo fit the description perfectly.

Park jokingly asked what the opposite term would be. Jeon explained that “Old-kkk” is a humorous expression referring to older generations who struggle to keep up with modern trends. Park immediately fired back with a laugh, saying, “You shouldn’t make fun of older people. Do you think you’re never going to get old?”
Park Myung Soo was born in 1970 and is 55 years old this year, while Bae Yong Joon, born in 1972, is 53.
