On September 25, EJAE uploaded several photos to her social media account, writing, “Grateful for the opportunity to walk my very first runway at VOGUE WORLD of all places!”
The photos showed EJAE attending a fashion show hosted by fashion magazine Vogue. Wearing a dress featuring a distinctive ruffled design, EJAE gracefully walked the runway as she took on her first challenge as a model.
Sharing her thoughts on the experience, EJAE said, “An incredible experience seeing hundreds of creatives working together to put on a breathtaking show,” adding, “Thank you so much for inviting me.”
In particular, EJAE attracted attention for looking noticeably slimmer than she did just a few months ago. Moving away from her previously lovable image, her leaner and sharper appearance gave off a much more chic and charismatic aura, surprising many viewers.
Meanwhile, EJAE is a Korean American who was born in South Korea and raised in New Jersey, United States. After spending time as a trainee at SM Entertainment, she went on to establish herself as a songwriter and lyricist, collaborating with various artists. She received widespread attention last year after providing the singing voice for protagonist Rumi in Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters. She also participated in writing or composing major songs from the soundtrack, including “Golden” and “Your Idol.”
EJAE later made her debut as a singer with her first solo song, “In Another World.” She is also set to marry Korean American producer Sam Kim this November.
