On September 28, a representative from MI, the production company behind Night Wanderer, told TV Daily, “Some changes occurred during the process of preparing Night Wanderer for production. We are currently reorganizing the production schedule.”
The representative continued, “It is not true that the drama has failed to secure a broadcaster or that production has been canceled,” adding, “Discussions are ongoing with the possibility of moving forward with production still open.”
However, regarding reports that Park Bo Gum and Shin Ye Eun had withdrawn from the project, the representative took a cautious stance, saying, “Matters concerning the cast still require further discussions, so it is difficult for us to provide details at this time. We ask for your understanding.”
Earlier that day, YTN Star reported that Park Bo Gum and Shin Ye Eun had been scheduled to star in Night Wanderer but ultimately decided to withdraw after the drama failed to secure a broadcasting channel. According to the report, Night Wanderer is a new project by screenwriter Yoon Ji Ryun, whose previous works include KBS2’s Boys Over Flowers and Netflix’s Move to Heaven. With production currently delayed, the actors were also reportedly said to have expressed their intention to leave the project.
