BLACKPINK member Jennie has revealed that she plans to take an extended break after finishing her summer festival performances, saying she wants time to rest, relax, and create space for new ideas.
The singer shared her plans during a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, where she talked about her upcoming music, personal goals, and how she wants to approach the next few years of her career.
After a busy period filled with solo activities, performances, and album preparations, Jennie said she is ready to slow down and enjoy some time away from her usual schedule.
Before taking her break, Jennie is preparing to release her new solo album. The upcoming project will include her single “Less Than A Lover” as well as other new tracks that she has already teased during recent performances, Koreaboo reported.
Following her summer festival run, Jennie plans to step away from public activities for a while. She shared that she wants to use the time to relax and enjoy experiences that she could not always make time for because of her busy career.
Jennie Plans Europe Trip
One of the activities she hopes to do during her break is travel around Europe. Jennie also mentioned that she wants to spend time on other fun and personal activities without having every moment planned around work.
The BLACKPINK star also opened up about leaving her future schedule more flexible. According to Otakukart, instead of carefully planning every step of the next two to three years, Jennie said she wants to leave room for unexpected opportunities and personal growth.
“I’m leaving a little blank space in my head to see if there’s anything else I want to reach for. It’s very special, the unknowingness. It gives me space to just think. I’m seeing it as a great opportunity,” Jennie said.
She explained that having an open future allows her to think more freely and discover new things she may want to pursue later. Rather than seeing uncertainty as a problem, she views it as a chance to explore different possibilities.
Along with her plans outside the spotlight, Jennie has also gained more control over her music in the studio.
