aespa made a strong first impression at Lollapalooza Chicago 2026, delivering a high-energy performance that showcased the group’s powerful stage presence and global appeal. The K-pop group performed for fans at Grant Park on August 2, marking their first appearance at the famous music festival.
Taking the Allianz Stage, aespa performed a 14-song set filled with some of their biggest hits and newer tracks, TheChosun reported.
The group impressed the crowd with confident performances, strong vocals, and the kind of polished stage control expected from artists now in their seventh year since debut.
aespa opened the show with their debut hit “Black Mamba” and followed it with “Next Level,” immediately capturing the attention of the audience. They continued with popular songs including “Armageddon,” “Supernova,” and “Whiplash,” performing the tracks with a live band session that added more energy to the festival atmosphere.
aespa and Ty Dolla $ign Wow Fans
One of the biggest surprises of the night came during “Switchblade,” when aespa was joined on stage by Ty Dolla $ign, who appeared as a featured artist. Their collaboration created a memorable moment for fans and added another highlight to the group’s first Lollapalooza performance.
According to ChosunBiz, the group also performed songs from their second full-length album, including “LEMONADE,” “WDA (Whole Different Animal),” “Can’t Help Myself,” and “SHAKIN’.”
Showing their wide musical range, aespa continued to build excitement with performances of “Rich Man,” “Bubble,” “To The Girls,” and “Hold On Tight.”
After completing their festival debut, aespa shared their thoughts on the special performance. The group said, “It was a great honor. Thanks to the many fans who sang along and cheered loudly, we were able to enjoy the stage to the fullest.” They added that they hope to bring the positive energy from the event into their upcoming world tour.
Ty Dolla $ign also praised aespa after joining them on stage. He said it was meaningful to perform at Lollapalooza with the group again and shared that watching aespa grow over the years made him proud. He also said seeing the group fill such a large stage with their own energy was inspiring.
