G-Dragon‘s agency, Galaxy Corporation, has taken legal action against more than 100 people accused of spreading malicious posts and damaging rumors about the singer.
The agency said several cases have already moved through investigations and courts, with some offenders receiving fines of up to 7 million won.
On August 4, Galaxy Corporation announced updates on its ongoing efforts to protect G-Dragon’s rights, AllKPop reported.
The company said the complaints were filed based on evidence collected through fan reports and the agency’s own monitoring of online platforms.
According to Galaxy Corporation, the reported cases involve alleged defamation, false information, insults, privacy violations, sexual harassment, and the creation or sharing of manipulated content.
Some suspects have been identified and sent to prosecutors, while others have already faced criminal proceedings.
The agency revealed that multiple defendants received court-issued summary orders with fines ranging from 2 million won to 7 million won. In other cases, prosecutors have also requested similar penalties as legal procedures continue.
Galaxy Corporation emphasized that using anonymous accounts does not protect people from legal consequences.
The company explained that investigators can track the creators of harmful posts, even when those posts are later deleted or accounts are changed to private.
Galaxy Corporation Warns G-Dragon Defamers
The agency also warned that legal action will not only target original writers of harmful content but also people who repeatedly spread or amplify such posts.
According to ChosunBiz, Galaxy Corporation said sharing unverified rumors, personal information, or edited images and videos can also become grounds for legal complaints.
“We will continue legal action against various illegal acts that occur online, such as defamation, dissemination of false information, insults, malicious slander, violations of personal rights and invasion of privacy, in order to protect the honor and rights of our affiliated artist G-DRAGON,” the agency said.
Galaxy Corporation added that it continues to monitor online communities, portal sites, social media platforms, and video channels in South Korea and overseas to collect evidence of possible violations.
The company said it will continue taking strict legal measures without leniency against cases that seriously harm the artist.
To make future responses faster, the agency plans to create a dedicated reporting channel where fans can submit evidence of rights violations.
Galaxy Corporation said organized reports, including details such as post links, dates, account names, and screenshots, can help support legal reviews.
The agency thanked fans for their continued support and cooperation, saying their reports have played an important role in identifying alleged offenders.
