On August 4, Go So Young uploaded a new vlog titled “All These Stars in One Place? A Celebrity Party with Ko So Young.”
The video documented her attendance at the launch event for a premium liquor brand, where numerous Korean entertainment stars gathered. Among the celebrities featured were: Jang Dong Gun, Lee Jung Jae, Kang Dong Won, Lee Min Ho, Jung Il Woo, Hong Jin Kyung and Oh Eun Young.
The event quickly attracted attention, particularly because it included one of Jang Dong Gun’s first public appearances following recent online discussions about his appearance.
Short video clips from the event had previously circulated across social media, leading some internet users to speculate that Jang Dong Gun’s face appeared fuller than usual and slightly flushed. The brief footage prompted unfounded rumors suggesting he may have undergone cosmetic procedures.
However, the longer video released by Go So Young presented a very different impression. Dressed in a navy suit jacket paired with a classic shirt, Jang Dong Gun appeared composed, smiling comfortably throughout the event while interacting naturally with guests.
While greeting friends at the venue, Go So Young affectionately called her husband, saying, “Honey.” Jang Dong Gun responded by asking with a smile, “Is this your channel?”
He then stepped in front of the camera and formally greeted viewers. “Hello. I’m finally getting the chance to properly greet everyone.” The actor continued by explaining that he had wanted to introduce himself earlier but had not yet had the opportunity. “I should have greeted everyone sooner, but today we were invited here together as a couple. I hope I’ll have the chance to see all of you more often. Please continue to support us.” His casual interaction quickly became one of the video’s highlights.
The complete vlog has helped ease much of the speculation that emerged after cropped images and short clips spread online. Rather than supporting claims of dramatic changes to his appearance, the footage shows Jang Dong Gun looking relaxed, smiling naturally, and enjoying conversations with fellow celebrities throughout the event.
Many viewers noted that the longer, unedited footage provided better context than the isolated screenshots that had previously fueled online discussions.
Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young, both born in 1972, married in 2010 and remain one of South Korea’s best-known celebrity couples. They have two children together—a son and a daughter.
Following his appearance in the 2024 film A Normal Family, Jang Dong Gun has been taking a break from acting, while Go So Young has recently become more active through her YouTube channel, sharing glimpses of her daily life and celebrity events with fans.
