The film marks the first time the agency has revealed the actual members of OURBIRTHDAY, following previous teasers that focused solely on symbolic characters and the group’s overall concept.
Borrowing its title from the internet error code “502 Bad Gateway”, the introduction film presents a mysterious narrative centered around communication failure and disconnection.
In the video, the members wander through an unfamiliar space after becoming trapped inside a world seemingly affected by a system error. As they search for answers, they gradually discover one another, creating an emotional, cinematic atmosphere enhanced by restrained narration and striking visuals. The film emphasizes mystery over dialogue, inviting viewers to interpret the symbolism behind the group’s emerging storyline.
One of the video’s most memorable moments features the members gathering around a cake displaying the words “OURBIRTHDAY”. Together, they blow out the candles before the monitor in front of them suddenly powers back on, suggesting that the group’s story is only just beginning.
