On August 23, Gong Minzy shared photos taken at BIGBANG’s concert on her social media. The photos showed BIGBANG members G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung posing alongside 2NE1 members CL, Sandara Park and Gong Minzy.
The sight of the six members standing side by side and posing for the camera with the concert stage in the background held special meaning for fans.
The reunion drew particular attention because of “Lollipop,” the song the two groups worked on together in 2009.

BIGBANG and 2NE1 collaborated on “Lollipop,” which was produced at the time as a promotional song for a mobile phone advertisement. The track is regarded as an iconic collaboration that firmly established the presence of both groups in the public eye.
In the music video for “Lollipop,” the two groups created strong synergy through flashy visuals and powerful performances. After eventually going their separate ways and growing into some of K-pop’s biggest artists, the members reunited after nearly 17 years.
However, 2NE1’s Park Bom was not present at the gathering, leaving some fans disappointed.

Social media was flooded with nostalgic comments such as, “This reminds me of the Lollipop era,” “I never thought we would see these members together again,” and “It doesn’t feel like 17 years have passed.”
To commemorate their 20th anniversary, BIGBANG held performances for their new world tour, “XX: COSMOS,” at Goyang Stadium from August 21 to August 23. More than 100,000 spectators attended the three-day concerts.
