EXO member Baekhyun is at the center of a growing financial dispute involving One Hundred Chairman Cha Ga-won and rapper MC Mong, with alleged losses estimated at 63 billion won, or about $45.4 million.

The figure was presented on August 22 by YouTuber and entertainment commentator Lee Jin-ho on his channel, “Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho”. Lee described Baekhyun as one of the dispute’s biggest alleged victims and said the amount could exceed losses previously reported in connection with singer Lee Seung-gi.
According to Lee, Baekhyun was allegedly promised a 35 billion won (approximately $25.24 million USD) signing payment after entering an exclusive contract with One Hundred. Instead of receiving cash, he was reportedly offered a luxury villa in the Eterno development.
Sports Chosun reported that Lee identified the promised property as Eterno Phase 3. He said a comparable Eterno unit had a publicly assessed value of about 32.57 billion won (about 23.49 million USD) in 2026, while Phase 2 was under construction and Phase 3 had not been built. Lee claimed Baekhyun was promised a property that One Hundred was not in a position to provide.
The alleged losses also include a 16 billion won lease deposit tied to Baekhyun’s residence at Lanuvo Hannam. Lee questioned whether the deposit would be returned after Cha’s arrest. He further alleged that about 12 billion won in settlement payments from Baekhyun’s activities after leaving SM Entertainment remain unpaid.
The calculation combines the alleged 35 billion won (about $25.2 million) signing payment, 16 billion won deposit and 12 billion won in unsettled earnings. The total is an estimate based on Lee’s claims and has not been independently verified.
Maeil Business Newspaper, or MK, reported that the allegations could influence Baekhyun’s continuing legal conflict with SM Entertainment if they are substantiated.
The report said the claims could prompt scrutiny of the circumstances surrounding Baekhyun’s departure from SM and the establishment of his independent label, INB100. It also stressed that the allegations remain a one-sided account from a YouTuber and have not been officially confirmed.
Baekhyun founded INB100 in January 2024 after leaving SM. The label was later incorporated into One Hundred. Baekhyun, Chen and Xiumin, collectively known as CBX, recently said they intended to terminate their One Hundred contracts, citing alleged breaches including unsettled payments. They also remain involved in separate disputes with SM over contracts and settlements.
One Hundred was founded by Cha and MC Mong. In April, the company told Newsen as KbizoOm reported, it was working to normalize operations and resolve related matters amicably.
Cha was arrested Aug. 3 on fraud charges under South Korea’s Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. The allegations and Baekhyun’s potential losses remain subject to investigation and legal review.
