According to Sports Chosun, Park Hae-soo’s wife gave birth to their second son on August 23. Park Hae-soo is currently staying at the hospital with his wife and helping her recover after childbirth. Both the mother and newborn are reportedly in good health.
Park Hae-soo first revealed the news of his second child while accepting the Best Actor award at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 31. At the time, he affectionately spoke about his first son, saying, “Our son’s name is ‘Chukbok-i (Blessing),’ and he always brings blessings into my life.”
In a subsequent interview with Sports Chosun, Park Hae-soo candidly opened up about his feelings ahead of the birth of his second child. “It was such a blessed and wonderful thing that I wanted to share the news with many people. During the early stages of the pregnancy, we were cautious, so there were many people around us whom we couldn’t tell. That’s why I had decided that if I got the opportunity to give an acceptance speech, I would definitely mention ‘Chukbok-i,’” he said.
Park Hae-soo married a non-celebrity woman six years his junior in 2019. Two years into their marriage, in 2021, they welcomed their first son, making him a father for the first time.
Park Hae-soo most recently starred as detective Kang Tae-joo, who sets out to uncover the truth, in the Genie TV original drama The Scarecrow, which concluded in May. His upcoming projects include The Great Ok Suk, Tristes Tropiques and Paper Man.
