IVE has reached another major milestone in Japan as its fourth Japanese album, ‘LUCID DREAM,’ earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
The certification, announced on August 10, 2026, means the album has reached cumulative shipments of at least 250,000 copies. The achievement adds to IVE’s strong results in Japan and shows that the group continues to build a strong audience in the country.
Released in May, ‘LUCID DREAM’ made an immediate impact on the Japanese charts. It debuted at No. 1 on Oricon’s Weekly Combined Albums Ranking, marking the third time IVE has topped the chart.
The album also claimed No. 1 on Oricon’s Weekly Albums Ranking, giving the group a double crown on the weekly charts. According to SportsKhan, it sold 120,000 copies in its first week, recording the highest first-week sales this year among overseas female artists, according to the provided information.
IVE Sets New Japan Attendance Record
IVE also topped Billboard Japan’s Weekly Album Sales chart. Its strong performance across several major charts helped push ‘LUCID DREAM’ toward the 250,000-copy shipment mark needed for the RIAJ Platinum certification.
The group’s growing popularity in Japan can also be seen through its live shows. During the second world tour, ‘SHOW WHAT I AM,’ IVE performed at Kyocera Dome Osaka and Tokyo Dome, drawing a combined 127,000 fans, AllKPop reported.
That total became a new personal record for the group in Japan. The concerts also received coverage from major Japanese sports newspapers, including Nikkan Sports, Sankei Sports, Sports Hochi, Sports Nippon and Daily Sports.
IVE has also continued to connect with Japanese viewers through television. The group has appeared on NHK’s ‘Venue 101′ and TBS’ ‘CDTV Live! Live!’
During the promotion for ‘LUCID DREAM,’ the members also appeared on Nippon TV’s ‘THE MUSIC DAY.’ Another notable appearance came on TV Asahi’s ‘Music Station 1500th Episode Commemorative Summer 2-hour SP,’ where IVE was the only K-pop artist featured in the special.
