BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is set to return with new solo music on Sept. 4, marking her first release in nearly a year and serving as a preview of her first full-length solo album.

Jisoo announced the comeback Aug. 24 through a teaser video posted on Instagram featuring the words “CLICK JISOO” and “2026.09.04.” A countdown has also been activated, with mysterious amusement park imagery, including dolls and a carousel, fueling curiosity about the concept behind the new song.
According to Star News, the Sept. 4 release is a pre-release track from Jisoo’s upcoming first full-length solo album. The song is expected to feature Jisoo alone without a guest artist. Its music video was reportedly filmed in Bangkok, Thailand, and directed by Joseph Kahn, who has worked with international pop stars including Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.
Naver also reported the upcoming release as an important step toward Jisoo’s first solo full-length album, with the Sept. 4 track positioned as an advance release ahead of the larger project. Details about the album, including its final title, musical genre and release schedule, have yet to be announced.
The new track will arrive about 11 months after “Eyes Closed,” Jisoo’s collaboration with Zayn Malik released in October 2025. That song marked her most recent new music before the upcoming “Click” project.
WION, in its August 24 report, also described the single as a pre-release for Jisoo’s first full-length solo album. The publication noted that the song’s title and genre had not initially been disclosed and that the album’s release date remained unknown.
It also highlighted that the upcoming track follows Jisoo’s previous solo projects, including her 2023 debut single album “ME” and the 2025 mini-album “AMORTAGE.”
“AMORTAGE” strengthened Jisoo’s standing as a solo artist. According to the outlet, the mini-album topped iTunes’ top album chart in 45 regions, while its title track “earthquake” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. Its music video also surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
Jisoo’s return comes as BLACKPINK members pursue individual careers following the group’s activities, including its “Deadline” world tour and 10th anniversary celebrations.
