The former girlfriend of actor Hong Min-gi, identified as A, has deleted the Instagram account she had been using to publicly discuss allegations surrounding their past relationship. As of August 26, the account was no longer accessible. It remains unclear whether A herself deleted the account or whether it was removed by her older brother.
The development comes amid an ongoing dispute between A and Hong Min-gi’s agency, following a series of allegations and conflicting claims from both sides.
On August 25, a post appeared on A’s Instagram account, allegedly written by her older brother on her behalf. According to the post, A had been found early on August 23 after taking an excessive amount of medication, including sleeping pills.

Her brother said she was immediately taken to an emergency room and remained unconscious in an intensive care unit until the early hours of August 25. He said A had regained consciousness and was able to communicate by August 25, but was still suffering from significant psychological distress and required treatment and rest.
He also denied reports that A had caused a disturbance and subsequently written a statement at a local police station. “Please refrain from speculative comments so that my sister can recover her health.” Her brother also asked the public to avoid spreading speculation about her condition.
A’s hospitalization follows a series of public allegations she made against Hong Min-gi. On August 19, A publicly shared a certified letter sent to Hong Min-gi and his agency warning of potential legal action over what she described as illegal conduct. She alleged that she had experienced dating violence, verbal abuse and gaslighting during their relationship. She also claimed that she had been pressured to undergo an abortion.

Hong Min-gi’s side has denied A’s allegations in their entirety. His agency, Fable Company, said it intended to pursue both civil and criminal legal procedures based on evidence it had obtained, stating that it would seek to establish the facts surrounding the dispute.
The actor’s agency previously claimed that A visited Hong Min-gi’s home on August 23, where she allegedly caused a disturbance and police were called to the scene. According to the agency, A had also visited the actor’s residence on August 19, the day the controversy first became public. The agency reportedly claimed that CCTV footage showed A placing a sticker over a camera at the entrance of Hong Min-gi’s home before allegedly kicking the front door. These claims have not been independently established in the information provided, and A’s side has disputed some of the reports surrounding her alleged conduct.

The controversy has now developed into a dispute involving allegations from A’s side and counterclaims from Hong Min-gi’s agency. A has accused the actor of abusive behavior during their relationship, while his agency has denied the allegations and said it would take legal action to establish the facts.
Meanwhile, A’s brother has strongly pushed back against reports concerning her alleged behavior during the recent incidents, saying that her current condition is the result of the psychological impact of the situation. With both sides presenting conflicting accounts, the underlying allegations remain unresolved.
For now, A’s family is asking the public to refrain from speculation as she continues to receive medical treatment and recover from the psychological distress surrounding the controversy.
