Veteran celebrities have shared their practical views on how one should act in order to have a long career without any issues in the entertainment industry.
On August 11th, a video titled “Found Lee Kyung Sil’s Successor, The British Bloodline That Made Hye Ryun Tremble” was uploaded on YouTube. In the video, Baek Jin Kyung, known as the YouTuber “Honorary Briton,” appeared as a guest and conversed with Lee Kyung Sil and Cho Hye Ryun. The three shared honest stories based on their personal experiences, discussing attitudes toward living life.
In particular, Lee Kyung Sil said the reason she has been able to stay long in the entertainment industry is, “The reason we’ve lasted this long is that we did our best in every moment.”
Baek Jin Kyung then asked, “What do you do when hardships come during your career?” To this, Lee Kyung Sil and Cho Hye Ryun both answered without hesitation, “You have to keep your mouth shut.”
Lee Kyung Sil elaborated, “People can’t always be doing well. When bad times come after good, it serves as a moment of reflection: ‘Ah, those were really good times.’ But if things keep going well, people tend to become arrogant, reckless, and conceited, thinking things will always be good.”
She added, “When you face difficulties or trials, you should ask someone who has experienced many hardships.”
Cho Hye Ryun joked, “I’ll give you Lee Kyung Sil’s number,” causing laughter. Baek Jin Kyung pointed to Cho Hye Ryun and asked, “Why are you pretending you’re not that way?” to which Cho Hye Ryun replied, “I have no answers either,” sparking more laughter.
Lee Kyung Sil emphasized again, “I’m serious. Asking someone who has gone through a lot of trials is the quickest way.”
Rather than offering grand solutions, the two shared realistic advice based on their long experience in broadcasting. They conveyed a message of accepting both good and difficult moments as part of life and advised that when facing trials, it’s wiser to seek guidance from those who have gone through similar experiences before stepping forward rashly.
