On May 9, 2025, YG Entertainment announced that Rami would temporarily step away from BABYMONSTER’s activities to prioritize her health.
Nearly a year and a half later, fans are still waiting for clearer information about when she might return. Official updates have remained limited, while Rami’s rare public appearances have continued to fuel speculation about her future with the group.

In August 2026, Rami was spotted for the first time in more than a year, prompting fans to once again question whether her return to BABYMONSTER activities could be approaching.
Now, another development has sparked fresh concern among the fandom.
On September 6, a Philippines-based BABYMONSTER fanbase announced that its fan project had been successfully completed after a cake was delivered to the group. The members reportedly acknowledged receiving the gift, marking what appeared to be a successful project.
However, fans soon noticed that the cake featured only six character designs, despite BABYMONSTER having seven members.
The fanbase subsequently explained that the original design was supposed to include all seven members. According to the fanbase, however, management requested that Rami’s representative symbol be removed from the cake.
The claim quickly triggered frustration among fans, with many criticizing YG Entertainment over what they described as continued silence and inconsistent signals regarding Rami’s situation.
The latest incident has therefore added to growing concerns about the idol’s prolonged hiatus, with fans calling for clearer communication about her status and future activities with BABYMONSTER.
