NEXZ is scheduled to make its Brazilian debut at Rock in Rio on Friday, September 11, opening Palco Mundo before performances by Hwasa, Alok and Stray Kids.
The group’s set begins at 4:40 p.m. Brasília time, equivalent to 3:40 p.m. ET and 12:40 p.m. PT. Fans watching from South Korea or Japan should mark 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, September 12.
The early slot puts NEXZ at the start of the main-stage program. Recreio’s schedule and viewing guide confirms the time and identifies the appearance as the group’s first in Brazil.
NEXZ consists of Tomoya, Yu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui and Yuki. Formed through Nizi Project Season 2, the collaboration between JYP Entertainment and Sony Music, the group debuted in May 2024 with “Ride the Vibe.”
The festival appearance arrives a little more than two years into that recording career. The group’s recent releases include SAUCIN’, adding newer material to the catalog available for its Brazilian introduction.
Rock in Rio also brings NEXZ onto the same main-stage program as JYP labelmates Stray Kids. The two acts occupy opposite ends of the schedule, with NEXZ opening in the afternoon and Stray Kids taking the final slot after midnight.
For listeners discovering NEXZ through the lineup, “Ride the Vibe” provides the starting point, while later releases show how the group’s repertoire has developed since its debut. The festival running order will determine which songs make the Rio performance.
