Girl group TWICE’s Sana is challenging herself with acting for the first time in 11 years since her debut, collaborating with a top star.

According to OSEN on the 8th, Sana recently received and accepted an offer to appear in a new movie titled Nyangi (working title). This marks Sana’s first acting role and film debut, after gaining global love as an idol.
Nyangi is a Korea-Japan co-production project, starring top Japanese actor Takeru Satoh and Sana as the male and female leads. Location shooting is scheduled to begin in Japan in the second half of this year, with an all-Korean staff team.

TWICE, which debuted in 2015, continues to maintain a close bond among its nine complete members without any changes or departures. Despite being more than 10 years since debut, they still boast a strong global fandom and enjoy great popularity. At the same time, members like Dahyun, Jeongyeon, and Sana are broadening their careers into acting as well as singing.
Especially, Sana’s screen debut through the Korea-Japan joint film Nyangi is drawing high expectations. She will be acting alongside Takeru Satoh, known domestically as a “romance master” with many fans, attracting attention. There is anticipation to see if Sana will show a different, unexpected charm compared to her idol image and what kind of acting synergy she will create with Takeru Satoh.
Meanwhile, TWICE is currently on their world tour THIS IS FOR and will hold their final performances at Seoul KSPO Dome from the 10th to the 12th.
