Travis Japan has been named the J.League 2026/27 Season Special Ambassadors, J.League announced August 3, in a newly created role meant to help promote Japan’s professional football league throughout the coming season.
The seven-member group — Kaito Miyachika, Kaito Nakamura, Ryuya Shimekake, Noel Kawashima, Shizuya Yoshizawa, Genta Matsuda and Kaito Matsukura — will support the league through stadium appearances, media activities and digital content, according to J.League’s official announcement. All seven members attended the appointment event in Tokyo.
J.League said Travis Japan was selected “in recognition of their passion for the J.League and their own success on the global stage,” as the league works to build its international profile. The group will help “showcase the excitement and appeal of the league to a wider audience,” the league said.
“We are truly honoured to be appointed as the J.League 2026/27 Season Special Ambassadors,” the group said, adding that it hopes to share the league’s appeal with a wider audience.
Music is central to the partnership. Travis Japan’s song “On My Road” has been chosen as the official song for the 2026/27 J.League season and will air in league television commercials, on DAZN’s J.League broadcasts, and across football and news programs in Japan throughout the year. A newly arranged version, “On My Road -Stadium Ver.,” was released digitally August 3, reworking the original into what J.League described as “a grand, uplifting version designed to inspire supporters to sing along together.”
The group’s first confirmed appearance under the new role comes quickly: Travis Japan will perform “On My Road” live during halftime of the 2026/27 season-opening match between Yokohama F. Marinos and Kashima Antlers at MUFG Stadium on Friday, August 7. J.League said further activities will be announced later in the season.
Travis Japan, managed by Starto Entertainment, made their worldwide digital debut in 2022 with “JUST DANCE!” and are known for highly synchronized dance performances. Beyond music, members are also individually active in Japanese television and acting. “On My Road” originally appeared on the group’s second single, “Kage ni mo Hinata ni mo,” released April 15.
