There are many barriers to idols having children earlier on, including the discouragement of relationships, and work-life balance. However, an idol was recently exposed for just that on the account Deathdol.
Deathdol is a Japan-based account focused on “exposing” individuals, primarily idols. The account usually posts a photo or video of an idol, adding “proof” of behavior that contradicts the idol’s image, including criminal or “bad” behavior and dating.
New Girl Group Member’s Sex Worker History Surfaces With Debut
A newly debuted idol named Yura, a member of the Japanese girl group Koiro Signal, shared an update on her X account celebrating her debut. Shortly after, it was quoted by Deathdol with photos alleged to be of Yura with a child, a man and another woman.

The idol’s company released a statement shortly after, in which it confirmed that it knew about Yura’s child before she debuted and that that was no reason she should not be an idol. The company also added that she was unmarried and that she co-parented with child’s father.
She has her own life.
And despite having someone she wants to protect, she has chosen not to give up on her own dreams and to stand on stage as an idol. We do not believe that statements such as ‘She can’t pursue her dreams because she has a child‘ or ‘She can’t shine because she’s a mother’ are acceptable. True to the statement, Yura, along with the group’s other members, completed a performance at a music festival just hours after the announcement.
