
“Teach You a Lesson” has officially become one of Netflix’s biggest Korean hits after surpassing “The Glory” in the platform’s all-time rankings for Korean original series.
According to Netflix Tudum’s weekly rankings for June 22 to 28, “Teach You a Lesson” ranked No. 1 on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart for the fourth consecutive week. The series earned 7.3 million views during the week, continuing its strong performance since its release on June 5.
The drama has now accumulated 46.6 million total views worldwide. Netflix measures views by dividing total watch hours by a show’s runtime. The series has also surpassed 498.9 million viewing hours, showing its growing popularity across multiple countries, Zapzee reported.
With the latest numbers, “Teach You a Lesson” officially pushed “The Glory” out of Netflix’s top five Korean original series rankings. “The Glory” previously held the fifth spot with 39.7 million views.
Currently, the top three positions remain occupied by the Squid Game franchise. Season 1 leads with 265.2 million views, followed by Season 2 with 192.6 million and Season 3 with 145.8 million views. All of Us Are Dead currently ranks fourth with 55.5 million views.
‘Teach You a Lesson’ Continues Strong Global Stream
At its current pace, “Teach You a Lesson” is expected to continue climbing the rankings. According to AllKPop, the series needs about 6.6 million more views to overtake “All of Us Are Dead.”
The show’s weekly growth has remained steady since launch. It recorded 6.4 million views in its first week, followed by 21.1 million in the second week, 11.8 million in the third, and 7.3 million in the fourth.
Starring Kim Moo Yul and Lee Sung Min, the drama is based on a webtoon of the same name. The story follows members of a fictional government agency created to protect teachers’ rights and help victims dealing with problems inside the education system.
The series has performed strongly around the world, reaching Netflix’s Top 10 list in 75 countries and regions. It also reached No. 1 in several markets, including Hong Kong, Japan, and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, other Korean titles also continued to perform well globally. “Agent Kim Reactivated” ranked third on Netflix’s Non-English TV chart with 6.6 million views, while “Brave New World” and “Notes from the Last Row” also remained inside the Top 10.
