SEVENTEEN’s Joshua is stepping further into the spotlight with his new single, “Baby Come Home.”
The K-pop star released the digital single on Sept. 22, offering two versions of the song: a Chinese-language collaboration with Taiwanese singer-songwriter WeiBird and an English version performed by Joshua on his own.
Joshua also participated in writing and composing “Baby Come Home,” giving the SEVENTEEN member a creative role behind the emotional new release.
Joshua Teams Up With WeiBird on ‘Baby Come Home’
Built around acoustic guitar with understated bass and drums, “Baby Come Home” leans into a warm, intimate sound as Joshua sings about remaining a safe place for someone to return to.
The Chinese version brings Joshua together with WeiBird, the acclaimed Taiwanese singer-songwriter whose career has included recognition at Taiwan’s Golden Melody Awards. The pair also appear together in a live performance clip released alongside the single.
Billboard Philippines describes the track as exploring themes of loss and return, with the idea of an enduring love at its center.
The English rendition, meanwhile, is performed entirely by Joshua and features different lyrics from the Chinese collaboration, giving the two versions distinct interpretations of the song’s central theme.
The digital release runs 2 minutes and 45 seconds in both versions.
‘Baby Come Home’ Adds to Joshua’s Growing Solo Work
While Joshua is best known as a member of SEVENTEEN’s vocal team, “Baby Come Home” adds another entry to a growing collection of work outside the full group.
He previously teamed with Pink Sweat$ for a version of “17” and has worked with artists including electronic duo SLANDER and creative collective Lola James Harper.
Earlier in 2026, Joshua also collaborated with Corbyn Besson on “One More Dance” for the soundtrack to the Netflix musical comedy-drama K-Pops!.
His latest release comes as an especially busy new chapter begins.
Joshua and Jeonghan Are Preparing for JxJ Debut
Just as “Baby Come Home” arrives, Joshua is also preparing to launch a new SEVENTEEN unit with Jeonghan.
PLEDIS Entertainment has confirmed that JxJ, the duo consisting of Jeonghan and Joshua, will officially debut with their first mini album, DREAMSCAPE, on Oct. 19 at 6 p.m. KST.
According to the agency, DREAMSCAPE will explore two interpretations of dreams — unconscious fantasies and the ideals people actively pursue — while moving between the boundaries of reality and imagination.
That means “Baby Come Home” serves as a solo-focused release for Joshua just weeks before another major musical chapter begins with Jeonghan.
For now, fans can hear both the Chinese and English versions of “Baby Come Home” across digital music platforms, with the Chinese collaboration also accompanied by a live clip featuring Joshua and WeiBird.
