Park Soo Oh has officially joined the cast of “Love is Coming,” KBS2‘s upcoming weekend drama set to premiere on July 25. The actor will play Han Gyu Seo, a cheerful and popular high school student known for his bright personality and striking looks.
The drama recently drew attention after revealing photos from its first script reading, where the cast showcased strong chemistry and emotional performances ahead of the series premiere.
Park Soo Oh’s character, Han Gyu Seo, is the youngest son of the Han family and the twin brother of Han Gyu Min, played by Kim Min Seo, AllKPop reported. Although he appears cheerful and carefree on the outside, the character quietly struggles with emotional wounds and hidden worries, adding depth to the role.
The new role marks a major image transformation for Park Soo Oh, who previously gained attention for his intense performance as villainous bully Han Ki Tae in the Netflix series Girigo. Fans are already curious to see the actor take on a softer and warmer character this time.
“Love is Coming” tells the story of people trying to heal broken family relationships while building a new and comforting life together. The production describes the series as a family drama filled with love, healing, and emotional growth.
‘Love is Coming’ Cast Impresses Fans
The recently released script reading session gave viewers an early glimpse of the cast’s chemistry.
Writer Lee Kyung-hee and director Hong Seok-ku joined actors including Ha Seok-jin, Ahn Hee-yeon, Park Yu-na, and Bae Jung-nam for the reading.
As filming preparations began, the actors reportedly showed strong focus and natural teamwork while bringing their characters to life.
According to TheChosun, Ha Seok-jin, who plays Kim Mu-jin, shared his excitement after the reading. “Hearing the voices and syncing with the cast made the story feel alive,” he said. “There are many interesting elements, so we hope for much anticipation.”
Ahn Hee-yeon also described the drama as a warm story that viewers may deeply connect with emotionally. Veteran actors, including Kwon Hae-hyo and Yoon Yu-seon, also impressed with their emotional performances.
“Love is Coming” will premiere on KBS2 on July 25 at 8 PM KST.
