On November 3, the YouTube channel STUDIO OMG uploaded an episode of Bora Unnie Dongsaeng titled “A New Clue to Infidelity That’s Becoming More Common These Days?! Nam Bo Ra Reveals Her Cheating Boyfriend Story for the First Time.”
During a conversation with a divorce lawyer, Nam Bo Ra brought up an experience from a past relationship. She first clarified, “This happened a long time ago, when I was in my 20s. It has nothing to do with my husband now.” She recalled, “At the time, my boyfriend was serving as a full-time reserve soldier, so he commuted to work. One day, he told me he was going away for winter training and would have to hand in his phone, so I wouldn’t be able to contact him. It sounded completely reasonable, so I said I understood.” That evening, Nam Bo Ra was driving out to eat grilled beef intestines with her younger sibling and a friend when something unexpected happened. “As we were turning around a corner in an alley, a car that looked incredibly familiar came out of the opposite alley. It was exactly the same car, with the same license plate. Even the silhouette I could see through the tinted windows looked like him,” she recalled. “I wondered why someone who was supposed to be away at winter training was there, so I looked at the passenger seat. There was a woman.”
The alley became so congested that the two cars ended up facing each other. Nam Bo Ra said, “I don’t think he saw my car. He looked like he was having a great time.” She continued, “The car had stopped, so I got out and knocked on the window. He looked as if he had seen a ghost. I told him to roll down the window, but he refused and just stepped on the accelerator and drove away.” When asked whether she broke up with him immediately after that incident, Nam Bo Ra replied, “The foolish thing about me was that I couldn’t break up with him right away.” She added, “We dated for several more years before eventually breaking up, but in the end, it was for exactly the same reason.” She then offered viewers a warning: “Everyone, be careful.”
Nam Bo Ra had previously shared the same story on SBS Power FM’s Cultwo Show in August last year. At the time, she said, “I broke up with my ex-boyfriend because he cheated on me. I said that if I ever ran into him, I would curse him out, and then I actually bumped into him by chance on the street. His car was stopped at a traffic light in the opposite lane.” She continued, “All I could do was roll down my window and glare at him. My hands were shaking.”
Nam Bo Ra married a businessman her age whom she met while volunteering at church in May last year. The couple welcomed their first son in June.
