Actor Lee Yi-kyung is preparing to meet Japanese fans again with a solo event in Tokyo this October, marking a return to an overseas fan activity after a difficult period in his career.
Lee Yi-kyung’s official Japanese fan club announced on August 10 that the actor will hold the 2026 LEE YIKYUNG SHOW on October 25 at Hitotsubashi Hall in Tokyo. Advance lottery applications for tickets have opened ahead of the event.
The show is personally planned in part by Lee Yi-kyung and is designed to highlight his personality, humor, and different talents.
Fans who purchase VIP tickets will receive special benefits, including a high-touch session, a group photo, and exclusive merchandise. General ticket holders will also have a chance to take part in a send-off event after the performance.
Lee also sent a video message to Japanese fans when ticket applications opened on August 12, AllKPop reported.
Looking forward to seeing them again, he said, “I am coming to see you with the ‘Lee Yi-kyung Show’ after a year.” He also promised to work hard to make the event enjoyable and asked fans to meet him again on October 25.
Lee Yi-kyung Holds Japan Fan Event
The upcoming fan meeting comes as Lee has kept a lower profile in South Korea following controversy over his private life last year. He stepped away from several variety programs where he had been a regular and has had limited domestic activities since then.
According to SportsKhan, his situation became more difficult in May when it was revealed that he had received a back-tax notice following an audit by the National Tax Service. His agency said the issue was not the result of intentional tax evasion, but the news added another challenge for the actor as he worked to rebuild public trust.
While his activities in South Korea remain limited, Lee has continued to pursue opportunities outside the country. He has also moved into a Vietnamese project, giving him another way to stay active while his domestic career is on hold.
For now, the Tokyo fan event offers Lee a chance to reconnect directly with supporters who have continued to follow him overseas.
For Japanese fans, however, October 25 will mark Lee Yi-kyung’s return to the stage for his solo show after a year.
