On September 19, SBS variety show My Genie Secretary released a preview video on its official channel titled, “Lee Seo Jin X Kim Kwang Kyu Struggle to Take Care of My Star RESCENE Amid the Generation Gap.”
In the video, Lee Seo Jin and Kim Kwang Kyu were tasked with looking after rookie girl group RESCENE, whose members have an average age of 20.6. The two found themselves completely bewildered when the members showed off current trends such as the catchphrase “Yaho~” and the “Para Para Dance,” highlighting the considerable generation gap between them.
When the RESCENE members repeatedly called for their “secretaries” and asked for help, Lee Seo Jin even grumbled, “They’re no different from singer Seo In Young,” sending everyone on set into laughter.
During the shoot, Lee Seo Jin also drew attention for offering the junior girl group some unfiltered, down-to-earth advice.
He told the RESCENE members, “If you make a lot of money, happiness will naturally follow.” When member Woni asked, “Is money everything?” Lee Seo Jin firmly replied, “It is. It is,” drawing laughter. Lee Seo Jin, who is widely known to come from a prominent family with ties to the financial industry, once again attracted attention with his candid views on money and reality.
Later on set, he emphasized money once again, telling them, “This is all money. Smile,” further showcasing his characteristically pragmatic attitude toward finances.
