For stars who must capture the public’s attention, self-management is a fate they cannot escape. Among them, the intense efforts and behind-the-scenes transformations of those who recently surprised the public with dazzling visual changes have become a hot topic.
The first to catch the public’s eye is actor Hwang Jung Min, who turned 56 this year.

Recently, a video featuring Hwang Jung Min, Jo In Sung, and Jung Ho Yeon starring in the film “Hope” was released by Elle Korea.
In the video, Hwang Jung Min caught attention with his bright and translucent porcelain skin, a stark contrast to his usual characteristic reddish skin tone.
His youthful look, completed with a simple black knit and natural hairstyle, made him stand out even next to Jo In Sung.
Viewers praised his appearance with comments like, “He looks 10 years younger,” “He’s transformed into a handsome man,” and “I should quit drinking immediately.”
At the heart of this transformation was his painstaking effort to quit drinking. Last year, on a web variety show, Hwang Jung Min said, “After quitting alcohol, all my organs felt like they were back in their proper places and working correctly,” and added, “I feel refreshed every morning.”
He also revealed in an interview that “everyone was surprised to see my skin turn whiter and said it was because I quit drinking,” adding that he felt an overwhelmingly positive change that words couldn’t fully explain.
Actress Kim Min Ha also succeeded in a perfect image transformation fueled by her passion for her character.

In May, through her social media account, Kim Min Ha posted several photos attending a fashion show. In the photos, she showed a much slimmer silhouette and delicate figure, capturing many people’s attention.
This weight loss was the result of her dedicated effort for her next film, where she plays a terminally ill character diagnosed with uremia. To maximize the character’s realism, Kim Min Ha lost a remarkable 9kg.
She impressed fans by sharing on her social media account the consistent exercise she did, saying, “I did a strict diet for the role. I quit alcohol and coffee and focused on exercise,” and added, “I only ate healthy food, and that’s how I lost a lot of weight.”
Singer Sung Si Kyung made headlines by revealing a much slimmer half of his face.

He confessed, “After getting a cosmetics model offer, I seriously started dieting. I greatly increased my exercise.”
Regarding his diet, he shared a tip: “No joke, I probably ate around 170 flatfish during the diet period,” and added, “I delayed my first meal as much as possible after fasted exercise and mainly ate eggs and fish.“
