Kim Soo Hyun‘s agency, Gold Medalist, issued a warning through its official social media account on August 28, stating that several cases had recently been reported involving individuals posing as official organizers or promoters of Kim Soo Hyun’s overseas fan meetings and offering event contracts or attempting to persuade others to sign agreements.
The agency emphasized that no events or official organizers have currently been confirmed and that it has not authorized any company or individual to organize a fan meeting or enter into contracts on its behalf.
Gold Medalist urged people to be especially cautious if someone claims to have the authority to organize a Kim Soo Hyun fan meeting without official confirmation or authorization, or falsely suggests that discussions or contracts with the agency have already been completed while requesting contract payments, deposits or guarantees.
Kim Soo Hyun has recently been working to rebuild his public image after becoming embroiled in allegations involving the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. His agency has maintained that evidence presented in the controversy, including alleged KakaoTalk conversations, was manipulated, while prosecutors reportedly determined that the materials had been fabricated.
The actor recently resumed his entertainment activities by filming an advertisement for a fashion brand in the Philippines. On August 23, he also appeared as a special guest on a special live broadcast in Indonesia.
Kim Soo Hyun is scheduled to appear as a presenter at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards, which will be held at Busan Asiad Main Stadium in September. The event will mark his first appearance in front of domestic fans since the controversy.
