KARA’s Park Gyu-ri recently took to social media to share several photos accompanied by the caption, “A break for the marketing team.” In the pictures, Gyu-ri can be seen sitting outdoors and smiling at the camera while enjoying what appears to be a relaxed moment.
For the occasion, the singer opted for a feminine and understated outfit, pairing a white knit top with a dark skirt. Her long, wavy hair further emphasized the soft and elegant feel of her look.

What immediately caught viewers’ attention, however, was Gyu-ri’s noticeably refreshed appearance. While her distinctive facial features remain recognizable, her overall image appeared considerably different compared with her previous looks. From her face shape and eye makeup to her hairstyle and styling, the transformation gave the idol a completely different aura.

Her more defined-looking facial contours and prominent eye makeup, combined with the long waves and feminine outfit, created a youthful, almost “fresh-faced” impression. The change was striking enough that some viewers joked they might not have immediately recognized her as the longtime KARA member.
Gyu-ri made her debut as a member of KARA in 2007 and went on to become one of the defining figures of the second-generation K-pop era. The group earned widespread popularity with hit songs including “Mister,” “Pretty Girl,” “Honey,” “Lupin,” and “Step,” establishing KARA as one of the most successful girl groups of their generation.

Over the years, Gyu-ri has experimented with various styles both as a member of KARA and through her individual activities. Her latest appearance once again demonstrates how dramatically a change in styling, makeup and hairstyle can transform an idol’s overall image.
Rather than simply revisiting her iconic KARA-era appearance, Gyu-ri’s latest photos present a softer and more polished side of the star—giving fans yet another glimpse of her evolving style.
