Jisoo attracted significant attention from international media when she attended Dior’s Spring/Summer 2027 show during the recent Paris Fashion Week. The BLACKPINK star wore a long-sleeved white blouse featuring an oversized bow at the neckline. She paired it with a pale pink skirt with layered detailing along the hem, creating a softly voluminous silhouette and an overall sweet, feminine look.
After the show, Jisoo also shared a series of polished photos from the event on her personal Instagram account. In the images posted by the BLACKPINK member herself, fans could hardly spot any imperfections on her face.
However, international press photos of Jisoo from the same Dior show presented a noticeably different appearance. Under the lenses of overseas photographers, details such as fullness beneath her chin and visible lines around her eyes and mouth appeared more noticeable.

The contrast led some netizens to accuse Jisoo of heavily retouching her photos before uploading them to social media, sparking discussion over how different celebrities can appear between their own carefully selected photos and unedited press images.

This is not the first time Jisoo has faced speculation over photo editing during Paris Fashion Week. Five years ago, the BLACKPINK member went viral after sharing photos of herself wearing a crop top that highlighted what appeared to be a slim, flat and toned waist. The photos were taken as she prepared to attend a Paris Fashion Week event in France in 2021.
Shortly afterward, however, some netizens accused Jisoo of editing the photos to create a more idealized waistline. Their claims were based on footage reportedly filmed by a passerby around the same time at Paris Fashion Week 2021. In the video, Jisoo was wearing the same crop-top outfit, but her midsection appeared different from the photos she had uploaded, while some viewers also commented on her posture as she walked.

Jisoo was born in 1995 in Gunpo, South Korea, and is the youngest of three siblings, with an older brother and an older sister. As a child, she enjoyed basketball and taekwondo and once dreamed of becoming a painter or writer. She later attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), where she joined a drama club and began developing an interest in pursuing a career in entertainment.
In 2011, at the age of 16, Jisoo passed an audition for YG Entertainment and became a trainee. Before making her official debut, she appeared in music videos by Epik High and Hi Suhyun and even made a cameo appearance in the drama The Producers. With her oval-shaped face, large eyes and fair complexion, Jisoo was positioned as BLACKPINK’s visual and lead vocalist from the beginning.

Jisoo’s career has been marked by a steady rise to fame both in South Korea and internationally. Together with Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, she helped turn BLACKPINK into a global music phenomenon. Record-breaking albums, sold-out stadium tours around the world and billion-view hits including “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love” and “Pink Venom” have cemented her status as an international A-list star.
Beyond music, Jisoo has also challenged herself as an actress, making a major impression with her first leading role in the 2021 drama Snowdrop. This year, the singer and actress has continued attracting global attention with the popular series Boyfriend on Demand.
