According to an exclusive report by MyDaily on October 2, Jo Bo Ah has officially joined the cast of the upcoming drama The Obedient Killer and is preparing to begin filming.
Jo Bo Ah will play Lee Hwa Ra, who goes by the codename “Miss Lee.” The character sports a sophisticated short haircut and sharply tailored neutral-toned suits, while speaking in a dry manner and maintaining a cold expression. Determined to become the best, she has trained herself to be tough both physically and mentally and has no interest in soft-hearted romance.

The role had originally been confirmed for Lee Chung Ah, who had already participated in several filming sessions. However, she was involved in a car accident in August and suffered a back injury that made it difficult for her to continue filming. The production team initially planned to wait for her condition to improve, but after she was recently advised to minimize movement for more than six weeks, it ultimately became impossible for her to continue with the project. The production team urgently began searching for another actress, with Jo Bo Ah ultimately selected as her replacement.
Jo Bo Ah married in October 2024 and gave birth to a son this February. After getting sufficient rest and steadily exercising to regain her condition, she is now set to immediately join filming for the drama.
The Obedient Killer follows a sheltered woman whose only plan in life was to become a devoted wife and mother, only to unexpectedly enter the workforce in order to survive outside her greenhouse-like existence. Set in the 1970s and 1980s, the series is described as a noir drama centered on a seemingly delicate and innocent heroine.

Alongside Jo Bo Ah, the drama will star Kim Da Mi and Jo Aram. The screenplay is written by Joo Hwa Mi, known for The Atypical Family, while Lee Jung Heum, director of Inspector Koo and Our Movie, will helm the series.
