BLACKPINK’s Jennie performed at the major Japanese urban music festival on August 14 at ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, followed by a second headlining performance on August 16 at Expo ’70 Commemorative Park in Osaka.
Serving as a headliner in both cities, Jennie delivered powerful performances and captivated audiences with her distinctive stage presence.
During her Summer Sonic 2026 performances, Jennie showcased her commanding presence on the festival stage, performing some of her representative songs and engaging thousands of fans.

Her performances in both Tokyo and Osaka further demonstrated her ability to command some of the world’s biggest festival stages as a solo artist. The two-city appearance was particularly significant as Jennie continued to expand her presence beyond the K-pop scene and establish herself as a global pop artist.
Summer Sonic was the latest stop in what has been an exceptionally busy festival year for Jennie. In 2026, she headlined seven major global music festivals, including:
- The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, United States
- Roskilde Festival in Denmark
- Open’er Festival in Poland
- 2026 Mad Cool Festival in Spain
- Lollapalooza Chicago in the United States
- Summer Sonic 2026 in Japan
Her appearances across North America, Europe, and Asia have cemented her position as one of the most prominent K-pop soloists on the international festival circuit.
Beyond her festival performances, Jennie has also generated excitement by introducing unreleased new songs at several major international festivals throughout the year.
According to her agency, the repeated previews of unreleased tracks at major global festivals have raised anticipation for the artist’s next musical chapter. “By unveiling unreleased new songs one after another at major festivals around the world, she has heightened expectations for a new musical chapter,” a representative said, adding that fans are increasingly curious about what kind of music and new sides JENNIE will showcase in her upcoming activities.
With her 2026 festival schedule now successfully wrapped up, attention is turning toward JENNIE’s next musical release and the new direction she may explore as a solo artist.
