Though NewJeans‘s legal conflict with HYBE and ADOR appears to be settled for now, things are far from normal. After Danielle‘s expulsion from the group, things have only worsened, with many fans accusing HYBE of intentionally trying to ruin the girl group’s brand image.
Given this tumultuous relationship between NewJeans and HYBE, other artists under the same umbrella company have mostly stayed away from anything related to the girl group. So, when a senior boy group recently showed support for NewJeans during a public performance, fans were caught off guard.
The idols in question are The8 and Vernon from SEVENTEEN.
During a recent event where The8 was playing a set as a DJ, he played “Electric Shock” by f(x), remixing it with NewJeans’ song, “ETA.” Vernon even took the mic and happily sang along to the chorus.

This small gesture has touched the hearts of many fans, who expressed their deep gratitude toward SEVENTEEN. Some were also proud to see that NewJeans’ music stood the test of time and remained relevant even years after release.
