GOT7 member Youngjae has finally received his unpaid appearance fees from the musical “Dream High Season 2” after the production company confirmed that the settlement process has been completed.
Art One Company, the producer behind the musical, announced on August 3 that it had finished discussions and confirmation with Youngjae regarding the payment issue. The company said the settlement connected to his appearance fees has now been finalized.
The production company also revealed that it reviewed unpaid fees involving not only Youngjae but also other actors, dancers, and staff members who worked on the musical.
According to Art One Company, payments for confirmed cases have either been completed or are currently moving forward after discussions with those involved.
“If there are any settlement items that were overlooked in our review or require additional individual confirmation, we will carefully examine them and complete the settlement responsibly,” the company said.
Art One Company also issued an apology to those affected by the payment dispute, ChosunBiz reported.
The company expressed regret for causing concern among fans, the audience, and the people who participated in the production.
“We sincerely apologize to the audience who loved and supported the musical ‘Dream High Season 2’ and to everyone involved at the time for causing concern over the unpaid fee issue,” the company said.
Youngjae Receives Delayed Musical Appearance Fees
The producer added that it would take stronger steps to prevent similar problems in the future by improving its management and payment systems.
It also thanked the cast and staff members of the upcoming “Dream High Season 3: Reboot” for continuing to work with the company despite the difficult situation.
The payment issue became public earlier this year when Youngjae took legal action against the production company in January after claiming he had not received his appearance fees even after the musical ended.
The singer later shared his frustration through social media, explaining that the matter had continued for months without a clear solution.
In July, he expressed disappointment over the long delay, saying that it would soon be almost a year since the issue remained unresolved.
According to Maeil Business, “Dream High” is an original musical based on the popular 2011 drama of the same name. The stage production first premiered in 2023 and returned with its second season in 2025.
Meanwhile, “Dream High Season 3: Reboot” was originally scheduled to run from July 18 to September 27 at COEX Artium Woori Bank Hall.
However, the production later changed the venue and performance schedule, moving to Kwanglim Arts Center BBCH Hall from August 8 to October 18.
