A K-Pop girl group idol spoke about her views on pregnancy and how they have changed over the years.
On August 17, a video titled “From Ex-Boyfriend’s Cheating Stories… (No Idea How Much I’ll Reveal)” was uploaded on YouTube by Soyou from SISTAR.
In the video, Soyou, prompted by the production team curious about her love life, said she would open up enough so that fans wouldn’t feel upset.
She then said about marriage, “Actually, my ultimate goal was to become a mother.” She added, “When I just turned 30, I thought I should really get my body healthy, freeze my eggs, and store them. Because you have to be healthy to have good eggs.”

She continued, “I heard the eggs can be stored for about three years once frozen. You can extend storage, but the condition isn’t great. Also, you have to get daily injections in your abdomen with a syringe. (Because of my needle phobia) I gave up.”
Additionally, Soyou confessed, “Then the pandemic hit, and every time kids had to go outside, it was always mask this and mask that, and I felt so sorry for them. I thought that if I had my own baby, I would have so many worries and concerns. I started feeling like I didn’t want to bring a child into this kind of world. That feeling grew stronger.”
