On August 17, Jennie shared her thoughts on social media, writing, “Thank you guys for all the love and energy you’ve shared with me at every festival over these past three months,” as she reflected on the end of her three-month festival journey.
“It’s hard to put into words how much I’ve experienced, learned, and grown along the way. Looking back, there were so many unexpected moments, so many highs and lows, and I’ve realized that’s just part of life,” she said.
She continued, “Not everything is going to be perfect, and maybe it’s not supposed to be. I’m learning to appreciate every part of the journey for what it was, even the harder moments, because they taught me so much and helped me grow.”
This year, Jennie appeared at major music festivals around the world, including The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York, Denmark’s Roskilde Festival, Poland’s Open’er Festival, Spain’s 2026 Mad Cool Festival, Lollapalooza Chicago and Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026, further establishing herself as a global solo artist.
Following her performance in Tokyo, a video allegedly showing part of Jennie’s body being exposed spread online, putting the singer in a difficult position. Although the authenticity of the footage was never confirmed, speculation that it may have been AI-manipulated raised concerns about the growing threat of secondary harm caused by malicious content targeting artists.

Unexpected problems continued during her Osaka performance. At one point, Jennie suddenly turned around and hurriedly adjusted her outfit on stage. She also appeared to experience problems with her microphone and other audio equipment, exchanging signals with staff several times.
As the unexpected issues continued, Jennie was also seen briefly leaving the stage. Fans became particularly concerned after footage showed her hands trembling and appearing to hold back tears. After the performance, she ultimately became emotional and shed tears while greeting her fans.
Despite the unexpected difficulties, Jennie completed her performances and demonstrated her resilience as a solo artist. Rather than directly addressing the controversies or difficult moments surrounding her three-month journey, she chose to view them as part of her growth.

“I hope we can look back on all of it with love and carry the good, the lessons, and the memories with us into whatever comes next,” she said. “I’m so grateful to have shared this journey with all of you. I’m leaving this chapter with so much love, gratitude, and inspiration, and so many memories I’ll keep close to my heart. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Until the next.” She also expressed her gratitude to her staff. “To my crew, staff, band, dancers, directors, and everyone behind the scenes, thank you for your endless hard work, passion, and for giving your all to every single show,” Jennie said.
On the same day, as she concluded her festival journey, Jennie also personally apologized to fans over the controversy surrounding BLACKPINK’s 10th-anniversary fan event.
BLACKPINK held a “Meet & Greet” event at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on August 8 to celebrate their 10th anniversary. However, fans expressed disappointment after the event was announced just two days in advance, while details regarding the exact time and location were not sufficiently disclosed. There was also confusion over the announcement that only certain members would be able to attend. Further criticism followed over the gifts given to fans and issues surrounding the rental of the National Museum of Korea.

Eventually, Jennie became the fourth BLACKPINK member to apologize to fans, following Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa. Jennie said she felt deeply sorry that a day that should have been about celebrating their 10th anniversary instead left fans with disappointment, adding that she had “no excuses” and apologized for showing an immature side of herself.
Jennie’s recent journey has therefore been marked by both achievements as a solo artist and a series of unexpected controversies. While expanding her presence through major global festival stages, she also had to directly confront communication issues with fans surrounding BLACKPINK’s 10th anniversary.
Nevertheless, Jennie did not shy away from the difficult moments she encountered. Instead, much like her reflection that “not everything is going to be perfect,” she embraced both the highs and lows as part of her journey and looked ahead to what comes next.
The past three months were about more than simply performing at music festivals. They became a period in which Jennie expanded her territory as a solo artist and demonstrated new possibilities. After navigating a far-from-smooth journey, attention is now focused on what kind of music and activities Jennie will pursue next as she continues to establish herself as a solo artist.
