On September 23, Dok2 shared several photos on his personal account along with a birthday message for Lee Hi. He wrote, “September 23, celebrating the birthday of my love, my beautiful dolphin Hi with the free release of ‘U R MY HI,’” adding, “Thank you for being born. I love you so much.” He also announced that he would release a song he personally created for Lee Hi for free in celebration of her birthday. Lee Hi responded to the post with a heart emoji.
The photos included Lee Hi smiling while wearing a flower crown, as well as the couple standing side by side in front of a mirror. One image in particular attracted attention as Lee Hi kissed Dok2 on the cheek, while another showed the pair smiling affectionately together during a trip. Even with other people around them, the two did not shy away from openly showing affection, drawing enthusiastic reactions from fans.
Their affectionate interactions have also continued on stage. During the Super Concert: Special held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on September 19, Dok2 introduced Lee Hi as “my lady,” put his arm around her shoulders, and held her hand without hesitation. Korean artists including PSY, Baek Ji Young, and Bizzy, as well as local performers, also took part in the concert. Dok2 further caught the audience’s attention by kneeling down while singing in a performance reminiscent of a marriage proposal.
Dok2 and Lee Hi first crossed paths in 2016 through MBC’s Infinite Challenge. At the time, Lee Hi featured on “Like,” a song by Yoo Jae Suk and Dok2, creating their first public connection. The two are reportedly believed to have been dating since around 2022 and officially confirmed their relationship in March. They have since established the joint label 808 HI RECORDINGS and have been releasing music together, continuing to strengthen both their personal and professional partnership.
