Recently, screenshots of conversations between Lee Kwang Soo and fans on Bubble have spread across social media and online communities. In the messages, some users reportedly wrote comments such as, “Do you even know me?” and “You’re interrupting me while I’m using my phone.”
Rather than showing irritation, Lee Kwang Soo responded with his signature sense of humor, replying, “I got the wrong idea,” and “Be careful of smartphone addiction.” His friendly personality, which viewers have long seen on variety shows, was once again on display through Bubble, causing the exchanges to quickly go viral online.
Bubble is a subscription-based fan communication platform that allows users to receive messages from their favorite celebrities for a monthly fee. Messages from artists are delivered in a format similar to a private messenger, creating the feeling of having a one-on-one conversation.

However, as Lee Kwang Soo’s Bubble interactions gained attention, some fans pointed out that certain users appeared to be taking their jokes too far. Screenshots showing people using overly casual language or sending mocking remarks because of his approachable image prompted reactions that even jokes need boundaries.
Paid fan communication platforms are intended to create a space for closer interaction between artists and their fans. As a result, some have stressed that users should still recognize the line between being friendly and being disrespectful.
Fans expressed concern with comments such as, “Just because Lee Kwang Soo responds well doesn’t mean people can say whatever they want,” “Being friendly is different from being rude,” and “Artists are people too, so fans need to respect boundaries.”
