A short teaser shared on social media was welcomed by many fans, but some users criticized the song’s lyrics and presentation. According to Koreaboo, several commenters described the lyrics as corny and accused Lisa of repeatedly using the self-focused persona associated with her 2021 solo single, “Lalisa.”

Some critics questioned whether she was tired of the same image, while others called her approach narcissistic.
The negative reaction spread across social media, with some critical posts receiving thousands of likes and comments. However, those responses represent individual online opinions, and other fans defended Lisa, saying a brief snippet is not enough to judge the complete song.
According to Billboard, Lisa revealed that the song will lead her upcoming collection, “Press Play”, which is scheduled for release on Oct. 23. “SaWaDiKa” is set for release on Sept. 3.
Lisa’s announcement came hours after BLACKPINK member Jisoo announced her own solo project. The publication reported that Jisoo’s “Click” is scheduled for release Sept. 4. The announcements followed Jennie’s reveal of her upcoming solo “EP”, “Fallen Angel”, which includes the songs “FALLEN ANGEL,” “HEAVEN” and “Less Than a Lover.”
The members’ solo releases follow BLACKPINK’s group activities and the February release of the “Deadline EP”, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200. During their time apart for individual projects, Rosé, Lisa and Jennie released the solo albums “Rosie”, “Alter Ego” and “Ruby”, respectively, while Jisoo released the EP “Amortage”.
Lisa’s latest teaser arrives amid renewed attention on BLACKPINK’s relationship with its fans. The Korea JoongAng Daily reported that Lisa apologized over disappointment surrounding the group’s 10th-anniversary celebration.
YG Entertainment announced the Aug. 8 event only two days in advance, and attendance was initially limited to 40 guests. Although all four members ultimately appeared, fans criticized the planning. Lisa apologized after Jisoo and Rosé had issued similar messages.
Lisa has not publicly addressed the criticism of “SaWaDiKa.” The single is scheduled to arrive Sept. 3, followed by “Press Play” on Oct. 23.
