Rosé replied that she believed they had talked about the possibility, although she could not remember the details of the conversation. She explained that if any member eventually felt that continuing group activities was no longer right for them, she believed the others would accept and understand the decision.
She further emphasized that whether it involves BLACKPINK or any other relationship, a person who is not ready to continue with something deserves to have that choice respected. Rosé stressed that BLACKPINK consists of only four members and that none of them could disregard a personal decision made by another member at any point in their lives. She said the members trust that whatever decision each person makes will ultimately be the right one for them.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK marked its 10th anniversary on August 8 with a “Meet & Greet” event at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, attended by 40 fans selected through a random lottery.
However, the event sparked criticism after details were announced just two days before the gathering. Fans also expressed disappointment over what they described as “underwhelming anniversary preparations,” including small bouquets and rice cakes worth 6,900 won provided as fan gifts, as well as an 11-minute live broadcast.
Amid the backlash, members Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa each apologized to fans in turn, while Jennie has so far shared a message of appreciation without issuing a separate apology.
