According to information shared by Seungri on October 28, his wife is currently pregnant and is expected to give birth early next year. On October 27, Gray News reported that Seungri was expecting a child with his non-celebrity girlfriend in her 20s. However, the two are not simply dating; they have already legally registered their marriage.
The news of the expected birth emerged before any announcement about marriage, prompting speculation that the couple was expecting a child out of wedlock. Seungri clarified that this was not the case. He also stated, “At the moment, we are not considering holding a wedding ceremony.” The couple is currently focusing on preparing for the baby’s arrival.
Earlier, during an interview with Gray News, Seungri drew attention when he spoke about responsibility, saying, “I have a family I need to protect.”
Meanwhile, Seungri has recently been sued over allegations that he assaulted another customer at a restaurant. The complainant claimed that they were assaulted and threatened by Seungri and his party at a restaurant in Seoul’s Gangnam District in August.
Seungri’s side has denied the allegations. Attorney Yoon Jae-bin of Soolim Law Firm, Seungri’s legal representative, issued a statement saying, “It is true that he picked up a soju bottle, but he did not swing it at anyone or strike anyone with it.”
The statement continued, “After the complaint was filed, the complainant’s side contacted us to request a settlement. However, Seungri decided that he could not resolve the case by admitting to actions he had not actually committed. He therefore chose to submit relevant evidence to the investigative authorities and clarify the facts.”
The attorney added, “We believe that determining the facts is the responsibility of the investigative authorities and the court. Seungri will continue to cooperate fully with the investigation.”
