According to the YouTube channel “wander planet” on September 3, Daesung purchased a 275-square-meter unit at Heukseok Mark Hills in the summer of 2015 for 1.4 billion won. The luxury complex consists of just 18 households in a single building, with every unit featuring four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and sweeping views of the Han River from the living room. The apartment, which was valued at around 1.4 billion won when Daesung purchased it, is now estimated to be worth approximately 10 billion won.
Heukseok Mark Hills is also well known as one of Seoul’s prime locations for watching the Seoul International Fireworks Festival thanks to its panoramic views of the Han River. The complex was previously the newlywed home of celebrity couple Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young and was also where actor Hyun Bin lived for 11 years. Currently, figure skating former national team member Kim Yuna and her husband Ko Woo-rim reportedly live next door to Daesung, while singer and actress Krystal (Jung Soo-jung) resides on the floor directly below him.

Daesung’s successful real estate investments do not end there. In 2017, he reportedly purchased a building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 30 billion won. Its current market value is said to have surpassed 90 billion won. With the combined value of his apartment and building alone exceeding 100 billion won, Daesung has established himself as one of the entertainment industry’s notable real estate investors.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG debuted as a five-member group in 2006 but was eventually reorganized into a three-member act following a series of controversies and departures. Between 2022 and 2023, the members left their former agency YG Entertainment as their exclusive contracts expired and moved to different management companies. Taeyang joined THEBLACKLABEL, Daesung signed with RND Company, and G-Dragon established a new home at Galaxy Corporation, with all three continuing their respective activities.
