A beloved Korean actress shared her difficulties on set, drawing attention from netizens.
On October 30th, a YouTube channel uploaded a video titled “(Lost but) Pretty Gumiho Shin Min Ah confidently walking anywhere.”
In the video, Shin Min Ah and Lee Eun Ji met again after a long time since the radio show Lee Eun Ji’s Gayo Plaza. Shin Min Ah expressed her pleasure, saying, “I thought we’d see each other quickly after the radio show before, but it’s nice to see you after such a long time.”
Lee Eun Ji asked Shin Min Ah, who is nicknamed “Shin-vely,” “What’s the secret to your loveliness?” Shin Min Ah humbly replied, “I smile a lot. And I have a smiling face, so I think that’s why people see me that way.”

Hearing this, Lee Eun Ji said, “You need positivity to appear lovely,” and Shin Min Ah joked, “I try to wrap things up positively.”
They also talked about how she manages to keep her composure without trembling while acting. Shin Min Ah confessed, “I get nervous too. So naturally, I’m tense during the first shoot of every project. I tend to feel nervous around new people and in new places or environments.”
Meanwhile, as their experience grew, the two shared their struggles on set and found common ground.
When Lee Eun Ji confessed how hard it is to be the “unnie” on set, Shin Min Ah strongly empathized, saying, “I know exactly how that feels.” Lee Eun Ji then asked, “Now, when you go on set, do you always ask who the seniors are, or how the situation is?”
Shin Min Ah explained, “At some point, the directors have become younger than me. That’s become quite common. So the weight of what I said when I was new in the industry is perceived differently now.”
She added, “It might sound forceful to some people. So I’ve had those thoughts too,” describing how the situation makes her cautious.
