On September 13, Ahn Eun-jin appeared as a guest on Jung Jae-hyung’s YouTube channel, Fairy Jae-hyung , where she shared various stories.
During the episode, Ahn Eun-jin recalled an incident that occurred while filming the 2023 JTBC drama The Good Bad Mother . She said, “I suffered a stroke-like condition and developed facial paralysis,” adding, “On a filming day, I was washing my face and brushing my teeth when water started leaking from one side of my mouth.”
At first, Ahn Eun-jin did not consider the symptoms particularly serious. However, as her condition became increasingly noticeable, she eventually visited a hospital, where she was diagnosed with facial nerve paralysis.
Speaking about the experience, Ahn Eun-jin confessed, “I thought it would get better after resting for a few days, but it gradually got worse. I was so depressed and sad at the time.” She eventually became emotional and began to tear up.
She took a break from filming the drama for a while to focus on treatment. “Because the two sides of my face moved at different times, we only filmed me from the side,” she explained. “I received acupuncture every day at a traditional Korean medicine clinic, while at the hospital, I was given strong steroid treatments, but my condition still didn’t improve. In the end, I finished filming the drama while my face was still swollen.”
