Recently, the YouTube channel “Studio Wagle Wagle” uploaded a video titled “A2O LITE – NEON / J-Black Personally Created the Intro Choreography?! A Stage Dance Review.”
In the video, J-Black revealed that he personally choreographed the parts performed by Aijing and Xili in A2O LITE’s debut song “NEON.” He commented, “Watching them makes me take things much more seriously. Rather than simply feeling that they are definitely good, it feels like the entire landscape is changing.”
He continued, “They are bound to make a huge impact on the music industry. The framework of K-pop had already been established to some extent. Dances with mass appeal were popular, and entertainment agencies focused their production efforts on that kind of choreography.”
J-Black explained, “When I receive a request to choreograph for an idol group, I usually film a draft video and send it over. The feedback I typically get is that they want the choreography to be easier. Most of the time, they ask me to lower the difficulty, but this time it was the opposite.” He added, “I sent them the draft, and they asked me to make it more difficult. I wondered whether that would really work. From my perspective, though, I was excited.”
“I increased the difficulty, but I started to worry,” he said. He also recalled being asked to create choreography in his signature style for a girl group, joking, “They asked for the J-Black style, even though they were a girl group. I was confused and wondered whether they had actually seen my dancing before.”

J-Black subsequently created the choreography in his own style and received positive feedback. He also revealed that professional dancers were brought in alongside him to provide intensive training, leaving the members with little time to rest between sessions.
J-Black added that the collaborators who worked with him were also proud and surprised by the result. “The fact that choreography like this is appearing in K-pop itself represents a shift in the landscape. A different kind of choreography has emerged,” he said, expressing his satisfaction with the attention the performance has attracted.
Meanwhile, A2O LITE is a rookie group newly introduced to the South Korean market by producer Lee Soo-man. The group has been attracting attention with its debut song “NEON.” In particular, its intro choreography has drawn considerable interest and spread across social media through various short-form dance challenges, helping the group gain popularity.
