During the group’s ARIRANG World Tour concert in Peru, BTS members wore traditional ponchos. The poncho chosen by V was sold to a fan after the concert, and the store has since been flooded with inquiries from people wanting to purchase the same design.

In an interview conducted at the poncho shop by Peruvian terrestrial broadcaster Latina Television, the shop owner revealed, “The poncho V wore had been sitting unsold for almost a year. It was as if it had been waiting for V to come and wear it himself.” The owner explained that V had personally selected the poncho in that particular color through a video call. Because each piece is handmade, producing even one poncho a day is difficult.
At the Peru concert, the T-shirt V wore during soundcheck also sold out.

Meanwhile, in Chile, a wine featured in a photo V posted on Instagram, showing him holding a glass at a winery, sold out at official retailers both domestically and internationally just two hours after the post went up. The official Korean retailer subsequently announced that the wine would not be restocked until two months later.
During BTS’s concert in Mexico last May, fans also flocked to the shop selling banderillas, a popular Mexican-style corn dog that V had tried. A major Mexican newspaper reported, “After V ate a banderilla, everyone at the concert venue started buying them.” The local shop even officially named the exact banderilla V had eaten “TAELICIOUS.”
