This isn’t his first time getting caught.
A rapper signed to popular star Swings’ label has been detained again on suspicion of using drugs just months after his previous case.

According to legal sources, the Seoul Mapo Police executed an arrest warrant against rapper Kim Gam Jeon (also known as Kim Sang Min)earlier this week after investigating him for allegedly violating the Act on the Control of Narcotics through marijuana use. The Seoul Western District Court issued an official arrest warrant after an interrogation, citing concerns that Kim could flee or destroy evidence.

The arrest is made all the more shocking given that Kim Gam Jeon was already on probation for a nearly identical offense. Back in May 2024, he was accused of smoking marijuana with an associate in a parking lot in downtown Seoul.

I got caught for marijuana because, stupidly enough, I was smoking in a public parking lot and a passerby snitched on me.

Kim was indicted over the incident and sentenced to eight months in prison late that year, though the sentence was eventually reduced to a suspended term after an appeal. Kim Gam Jeon signed with Swings’ hip-hop label Indigo Music back in 2022.
