Since his departure from ENHYPEN in March 2026, many have waited patiently for Heeseung (now known as EVAN) to make his solo debut.
After a couple of weeks of teasing, EVAN’s first single, “Ride or Die,” was released.
Many were impressed by his solo, with some even calling it the “best” released after leaving a group. The music video is currently sitting at just over 8 million views just one day after it was released.

With the first day of tracking complete, EVAN’s chart performance has also been shared online.
According Melon, the track ranked 371 on the platform’s daily chart, while tracking documented the idol hitting #1 on Bugs and 234 on Genie early on. The idol has since hit 101 on Genie, as streaming continues.

Reactions to these included mocking over the “low” numbers and a belief he should have remained in ENHYPEN.

Outside of only Korean charts, the idol’s charting included reaching #6 on iTunes’ Worldwide Song Chart. He also recorded over 1 million streams on Spotify after the first tracking day was completed.
In the past, ENHYPEN also recorded stronger results internationally than domestically, and EVAN’s solo work seems to be following a similar trend. Many were impressed with his solo performance, and are hopeful about his upcoming releases.
