On August 30, fitness trainer Arnold Hong shared a throwback photo with Won Bin on his social media account. The picture was reportedly taken in 2011, when the two met on the set of a commercial for a telecommunications company. In the photo, Won Bin wears a simple gray short-sleeved T-shirt and a natural hairstyle, highlighting his signature sharp features and defined jawline while giving off a youthful, fresh-faced charm. Arnold Hong added the caption, “We were really young back then. I guess it’s not so bad to live on memories now,” followed by, “Back then, I was always looking straight ahead and rushing forward. Now, I want to live while paying more attention to the people around me.”
Meanwhile, Won Bin has been on an extended hiatus for nearly 16 years since his 2010 film The Man from Nowhere became a major box-office hit, surpassing six million admissions. He has made only occasional appearances in brand advertisements and has stayed away from personal social media and television appearances, leaving fans curious about his current life.

Won Bin made his acting debut in the 1997 drama Propose before rising to stardom with his role as Han Tae-suk in the hit series Autumn in My Heart. His performance earned him the KBS Drama Awards’ Grand Prize. He subsequently showcased his versatility and acting skills in a range of films, including Guns & Talks, My Brother, and Mother.
In 2015, Won Bin married fellow actress Lee Na-young, and the couple have one daughter. Unlike her husband, Lee Na-young has continued to maintain an active acting career. Most recently, she appeared in ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama Honour. During an interview following the drama’s finale, she shared an update on Won Bin, saying, “My husband also has a strong desire to act. Still, people continue to show interest in him without forgetting about him, so both I and he are very grateful.”
